In this paper the basis of evaluation technique of influence of optimization model parameters on characteristics of transport ships and some numerical results are shown. As an example a mathematical model of ship characteristics optimization is described. The graphic dependences which demonstrate the influence of optimization model parameters on traffic handling cost of transport ships are shown in this paper..

This paper describes a methodological approach to evaluation of the influence of parameters of ship characteristics optimization model on optimal solution and criteria of economic efficiency. The results of numerical experiments show the influence of model’s parameters on characteristics of the ship and the values of economic efficiency criteria.

In the present work the torsional stresses are defined and the analysis of stress state of the deck overlap of a vessel of the mixed floating type with the big deck opening is carried out. The stresses caused by the static torque are determined according to the methodology which takes into account the tightness of warping sections..

The article describes the basic mathematical model of journal bearing hybrid foil bearing with gas-lubricated, which generalizes the models of gas bearings of various types. A scheme for converting the working surface of the pillars of changing their geometrical parameters was considered.

In the article considered the basics of automation methodology of the initial stages of ship design. The methodology is oriented on the organization end-to-end ships design process. A mathematical for determining the basic elements of the ship model is presented. A technology of creating of a geometric model of the ship’s surface and parameterization method for CATIA V5 CAD-system is considered in this paper.

DESIGN TECHNIQUE OF THE SHIP FORM WITH ACCOUNT FOR PITCHING AND WAVE BENDING MOMENTS

In a paper influence of the ship form on kinematic parameters of piching and wave bending moments for ship hulls with various factors of the common completeness – Cb, positions of longitudinal center of buoyancy – LCB, and  the longitudinal centre of flotation – LCF is examined. The design technique of the ship form with account for pitching and wave bending moments is developed and offered on the basis of these probes.

Functions allowing estimating the contribution of external load into destruction of both parts of singular and cyclical components of material damage were received based on expansion of external load.
Diagram showing the changing of material damage due to short-time single external load  was constructed.
Calculated function for calculation of number of cycles required for the destruction of structural element was completed.

The article presents the results of drilling fleet condition research, analysis of the specific requirements in connection with the vessel’s purpose and it’s mode of operation. It was offered a variant of catamaran drillship with a drilling tower between hulls in the aft, with massive forecastle. Main thesis of design procedure were presented. Also it was developed a three-dimensional parametric model of vessel’s surface and its relations with mathematical model.

This paper presents a methodology for determining the composition of the universal self-defense weapons transports supplies. As part of this methodology provides methods for evaluating the effectiveness and cost of weapon systems. Examples presented in this paper provide visibility of the proposed methodology and facilitate its use for applications of military shipbuilding.

ASSESSING IMPACT OF CHANGING WIDTH OF CONNECTING BRIDGE CATAMARAN ON STRESS STATE

Design study stress state conducted for the connecting structure using a simplified method of calculation by transverse bending and torsion. There is investigated the impact of changes in the width of the connecting structure, center of gravity and torsional ship. We made conclusion about the value of twisting and bending moments, shearing forces and stresses when the given parameters for the studied variants.

The main issues of design of hull constructions of ships with large deck openings have been considered. The analysis of accidents of large ships for 10 years in the period 2002–2012 has been performed. The analysis of methods for determining external torsion forces ships on wave has been presented. The influence of cross-section shape of the ship on the sectorial characteristics based on restrained torsion has been investigated.
